Hunters

Jaykun is the leader of the hunters of Sail- though only by Finlanders choosing. He was put in this position because out of all the hunters, he's the only one who has ever willingly worked with other people.
The hunters were put together by Finlander to find the krenan armour if possible, but mostly to find the scavengers, Itchtake and Gail, and to kill them. However, things just don't seem to go the way they're supposed to, and the circumstances have changed a bit...
Jaykun is very silent, and a bit on the broody side. He seems to take his job as leader of the hunters seriously, but this is most likely out of fear of Finlander, and he doesn't really care about the hunters lives. If it brought him closer to being out of Finlanders control, he would sacrifice them all. Except, maybe, Nina, since there's something about her that attracts him, and that he is entranced by.
Not much is known about Jaykuns childhood, or anything that would have driven him to become a killer, but it's my bet that he is an orphan, and either became a killer for money, or for revenge.
Jaykun is superstitious, believing in 'the evils of Jirale', magic, and other supernatural things.

Ursula is best described...as herself. She is outspoken, wild, and a little crazy. She's also guy crazy, chasing anything with muscles and a pretty face that walks by. There's a couple of theories about her that haunt my houses about what her preferences are, and if it's all just a cover up for the fact that she likes girls (but this is just me and the weird people I live with).
Being the dark mysterious woman that she is, Ursula dresses only in black, and being sexy and voluptuous, she dresses always in clothes that are skin tight. It would probably take an effort to get her into something less eccentric!
Ursula fights with a mix of gymnastics and martial arts, but she likes her claws best. Her claws come out of the thick gloves she wears, and are operated by some mechanism hidden in them. Or maybe by magic. In Jirale, it could be possible... The reason she uses these weird weapons is because she like to stand out, to be seen, and it's not known how she got them.
Ursula has a temper to match Cheng, and when they first battle in chapter four an enmity is formed instantly between the two. Ursula hates Cheng even more when she is wounded by her. Because she hates Cheng so much, she makes sure to kill David herself- even though she’s only guessing he’s related to Cheng!

Nina is one of the Hunters of Sail. Out of them, she is one of the more quiet ones, and she doesn't seem to like to lend her opinion to many things. She is tomboyish, and dresses in loose, male clothes, and has short hair. Nina also tries not to let her emotions get the better of her, in and out of battle, and because of this, she has a bit of a neutral personality. It would take something really unsettling for her to lose her composure.

Before she became a hunter (and like the other hunters, she didn't choose the job by choice, Finlander threatened her into it), she was an Amazon. But that was a long time ago.

Like Jaykun, Nina's a bit superstitious, especially when it comes to anything having to do with Jirale. The country itself seems to freak her out, and the longer the job of having to kill Itchtake stretches out, the more she thinks about deserting.

Nina's been a hunter for about ten years, and she fights best with her sai. She seems to have some past with Ursula, although what exactly happened is a bit cloudy...

Chi is a hunter of Sail, and he could probably be considered the most polite out of them (in a similar way that Hannibal Lecter is polite). He may be generally antisocial, but he tries to keep the hunters from tearing each other apart. I think that before meeting them, he didn't know many people with the same interests as him, and he's enjoying the company.

Chi fights mostly with his hands, and he's VERY fast. And even though he's skinny, he's very strong, and has good endurance. Before being threatened to joining the hunters by Finlander, he was a murderer and robber, although his criminal record only mentions the robberies. Next to Ursula, he is probably the most deadly, but unlike her, he's a stable person, and is much more rational.

Chi is also a chain smoker.

Totora   (no song)

Height: 6'4 (Elise has him as 5'7, but I'd already done his design as very tall...)

Origins: Sail
Personality: At first I didn't like Totora because he doesn't get much character development, but as I drew him, he kinda grew on me. Like fungus. Anyhow, Totora is quiet, not necessarily because he chooses to be, but because his tongue was cut out when he was young, since someone didn't like the fortunes he told. Totora is psychic. Underneath his dark cloak, he dresses fairly well, which makes me think that he's achieved a lot (though probably not legally).
